Gendex Dental Systems

was founded in 1992 with the acquisition of the dental x-ray business segment from PHILIPS Medical Systems by GENDEX Corporation, an American company specialising in medical and dental radiology.

In June 1993, Gendex became a subsidiary of DENTSPLY International, a company founded in 1899 and a world-wide leader in dental consumer products.

In February 2004, the Danaher Corporation in Washington D.C, a company with branches at the forefront in the fields of process control, the environment, instrumentation, components and medical technology took over the Gendex portfolio from Dentsply International.

Gendex Dental Systems is one of the world's leading producers and marketers of products for digital radiographic imaging. By continuously investing in this area and in image acquisition and processing systems, Gendex is able to offer a comprehensive range of devices for digital and conventional x-ray diagnostics. The names of some of these products such as Orthoralix, VisualiX, DenOptix, Oralix, 765 DC, and AcuCam Concept IV have become synonymous over time with quality and innovation.
