The Oralix AC x-ray system is highly reliable and can meet the demands of dentists for years with high performance and radiological safety.
A high manufacturing quality standard and the use of carefully designed and selected components form the basis for the excellent quality of this solid system.
Multifaceted and reliable
Better results
The compact Oralix AC x-ray generator is equipped with a Gendex x-ray tube that has a very small focal spot of 0.7 (IEC 336 1982). Coupled with optimised technical performance factors, images are obtained that show maximum contrast, sharpness and visibility of anatomical details.
Effective beam limiting
The Oralix AC is equipped with 20 cm collimators in the form of round or rectangular tubes that can take images in a parallel technique with low distortion. They are fully screened to eliminate scattered radiation. Radiation field limiters are available for the round tube for focusing on the image receiver format. Using these diaphragms and the rectangular tube reduces image imprecision due to scattered radiation and substantially lowers the patient's exposure.
Advanced control features
Programmable anatomical presets
compatible with PSP and film
Modern tubehead design
0.4mm focal spot offers the sharpest image
Quickset tubehead controls for superior workflow efficiency
Wide variety of uses
The Oralix AC comes in the following designs:
Wall mounting
45 cm extension arm for 141 cm projection
90 cm extension arm for 186 cm projection
Mounted to the mobile stand
Scissor arm without extension arm
Suitable for all image receivers
A wide range of exposure times allow the Oralix AC to be used with traditional x-ray films, digital sensors (Gendex VisualiX) and photostimulable phosphor plates (Gendex DenOptix).
New electronic controls

Consistent imaging results
Raising the bar of reliability
Coming from the manufacturer of the Oralix AC, the gold standard of reliability, the Gendex expert DC delivers peace of mind for your practice.
Advanced electrical design and rigorous test procedures allow Gendex to deliver consistent reliability.
Timer
DENSOMAT Object Selector Switch
Microprocessor-controlled timer for controlling the radiation generated by Oralix AC x-ray tubes. The exposure times can be manually controlled or automatically set via a hygienic flat panel keyboard. Simply press a key to select the programmed times depending on the scanned object, the patient's height and the sensitivity of the image receiver, and show them on a display.
SECONDENT Timer
Microprocessor-controlled timer for controlling exposure to the radiation emitted by Oralix AC x-ray tubes by manually selecting the exposure time from 0.03 - 2.5 s in 19 setting.
State-of-the-art digital imaging
The Gendex expert DC was specifically designed for digital imaging:
The 0.4 mm focal spot maximizes image resolution
DC technology delivers consistent results with short exposures
Proven imaging expertise
At Gendex, we still manufacture our own X-ray tubes. Controlling the design and manufacture of the tube allows Gendex to use our imaging expertise and deliver value-added technology to our customers.
